And I'm off...

We're leaving for Rwanda tomorrow. I can't believe it. I still have to pack, finish thank-yous, and TRY to get some sleep. EEK! I know that I'll constantly feel like I forgot something, but oh well, there will be nothing I can do about it come tomorrow morning.

I've been pretty cranky today, so I really pray that I get that out of my system before we go. urgh. On the plus side, I absolutely cannot WAIT to go on another grand adventure with Kel! And this time, my bro, Chaz, Steven, Kim, Katie Kula, Nancy, and many more fun, amazing people are going to be there too! Ahhh. So delightful! This will definitely be a learning and growing experience.

Well, I must go and pack now. If anyone reads this and hasn't yet checked out our Rwanda trip blog, I have a link to it on the side. Check it out! We'll (Steven and I) try to update it as much as possible.

Love to all!

Family Extravaganza

I love my family.

They're crazy, fun, and even though we don't always say it, we love each other. I felt that this weekend. Possibly one of the first times that I truly realized how much our family loves each other. It was my cousin, Matt's, wedding. He was the cousin who could really bridge the age gap. Even though my bros and I were so much younger than the rest of them, he could bring us all together. He would always include everyone in hanging out at family get-togethers. Even me who felt I had nowhere to fit in. Matt has a way of making everyone feel like he really cares about you and wants to know all about what you're doing and how you're doing. Everyone feels that way about Matt.

So his wedding was a true celebration. We had a party with an amazing Irish band (yay for Irish pride!) on Friday, wedding and sweet, sweet reception Saturday, and an open house with Mass on Sunday at my aunt and uncle's house. It was just a huge, Landers party. I danced and laughed the night away with my cousins and spouses/girlfriends on Saturday, and then was overwhelmed by the generosity of family on Sunday. What a beautiful weekend.

I am overwhelmed by the love and blessing of MY family.
