Today we bought our first strawberries. We've seen more and more trucks of strawberries appear, so we can only guess it's strawberry season? No idea. Anyway, we decided to buy some strawberries because we were going to dinner and dessert with some friends and thought these might be a good treat to bring. I'm not usually a huge strawberry fan because it seems difficult to find a good strawberry. There are tough strawberries, tart strawberries, hairy strawberries....it's too much of a gamble. But there was a man in a blue bongo truck selling a truckbed full of strawberries by our place, so we thought, "Why not?"
Here is our purchase:

Now, I know they don't look like much, but oh man, the friendly strawberry-man gave us strawberries to try, and they were THE MOST delicious strawberries I've ever put in my mouth. Even better than going to the strawberry patch back home and picking our own. They were sweet and soft and absolutely DELICIOUS. I keep sneaking berries when Chaz isn't looking, and I have yet to get a bum berry. I'm quickly becoming a huge strawberry fan.

YAY! I LOVE madarin oranges! They're practially my favourite fruit ever!
I'm so glad you have lovely fresh strawberries!
*sneaky sneaky*
Dang. They look good. My favorite thing about the mandarin oranges are that they are so cheap but also incredibly easy to peal. That is my biggest beef with the orange and why mandarins win.
