rain, rain, go away

It rained today...again. For about the twentieth day in a row. I knew it was probably going to rain because, let's face it, rain has been predicted for the past two weeks. However, this morning as I was contemplating whether or not to bring my blue rain jacket with the sweet, gray-striped sleeves, I opted not to take it. After all, I only had class until 9:15. If it was raining later, I could always bring my rain jacket to my afternoon class.

At precisely 9:15, as class was letting out, rain started pelting from the sky. dang.

Fortunately, there was an umbrella in the lost and found in the CTLT, so I borrowed that and biked my merry way home looking much like Mary Poppins but riding a bike instead of floating down from the heavens.

Then, after work tonight (after bringing my rain jacket with me to avoid the same mistake as earlier), I began to bike in the cool, calm night air. About halfway home, once again, rain began to soak me. I stopped my bike, whipped on my rain jacket, and biked the rest of the way home, joyfully biking through puddles and lightly splattering my ankles, happy to be mostly dry.

While I was fortunate to have my rain jacket tonight, I do not wish to continue to lug it around with me everywhere. So please, rain, go away and stop bringing humidity to frizz my hair to bits.
