I witnessed an amazing experience tonight.
Steve and Chaz had recently both gotten the new Tegan and Sara cd, so Steve started listening to it, and then Chaz did as well. Then they spent minutes trying to get the songs to play simultaneously on their computers. They'd try and miss, and then try and miss again. And again. And again. Then, finally, they got the song playing in a seemingly sound-system harmony across the room. Such victory, screams, and fist pumping I haven't seen since the World Cup. Wo-ow.
I also had my first experience Skyping in "Skype Me" mode tonight.
After being propositioned for sex three times (after which I promptly blocked the creeps), I talked to a guy from New Jersey, Italy, Yemen, and a woman from Malaysia. How amazing that we have the world at our fingertips to communicate and share cultures. And just to have fun chatting.
